What Sahaj collects on WhatsApp, the web app and this website, why, who helps us run it, how long it is kept, and how to correct, export or delete it.

Updated 11 October 2026

Last updated: 11 October 2026

This page explains what Sahaj collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will explain it in plain words.

Who we are

Sahaj is a product of Tournahub Solutions Private Limited (CIN U62099PN2025PTC243859), a company registered in India, with its registered office at S. No. 501, Onkar Nagar, Pawar Mala, Kedgaon, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra 414001, India. Our company website is tournahub.in.

Tournahub Solutions Private Limited decides why and how your data is processed and is responsible for it (the “data fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). You can reach us at getsahaj.support@gmail.com.

Where this policy applies

  • Sahaj on WhatsApp, the conversation you have with Sahaj through WhatsApp.
  • The Sahaj web app, where you sign in with Google or your email address. It is launching soon.
  • This website, getsahaj.com.

What we collect

If you use Sahaj on WhatsApp

  • Your WhatsApp number and WhatsApp profile name. WhatsApp shares them with us when you message Sahaj. Your number is how Sahaj knows a conversation is yours.

If you use the Sahaj web app

  • Your email address. We use it to sign you in, either with a one-time code we email you or through Google.
  • Your name and email address from Google, if you choose to sign in with Google. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Gmail, contacts or files.
  • A WhatsApp number you connect, if you choose to connect one so that your web and WhatsApp conversations are kept together.

Wherever you use Sahaj

  • What you tell Sahaj. Your preferred name, chosen language, whether you want Vedic or Western readings, the goal you pick, and your birth date, birth time and birth place.
  • Anything you send. Messages, voice notes, and photos or PDFs of a chart you already have.
  • What Sahaj sends back. Your readings, charts, audio and video, so you can ask for them again.
  • Basic delivery and technical information. Whether a message was delivered, when you signed in, and errors when something fails.
  • Payment records, once paid plans exist. Whether a payment succeeded, what it was for, and the payment provider’s reference.

We do not ask for, and Sahaj does not need, your home address, your identity documents or your contacts. We never see your card, UPI or bank details: the payment provider handles those. Please do not send Sahaj passwords, card numbers, bank account numbers or government ID numbers.

Why we collect it

  • Your birth details are used for one purpose: to calculate your chart and prepare the readings you ask for.
  • Your language and preferences are used to answer you the way you asked to be answered.
  • Your number or email address is used to recognise you, keep your conversation together and sign you in.
  • Delivery and technical information is used to tell whether a message reached you, to keep the service secure, and to fix things when they break.
  • Payment records are kept to provide what you paid for and to meet tax and accounting law.

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you start using Sahaj, and, where the law requires or allows it, to meet legal obligations such as tax records or a lawful request from an authority.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your birth details or your conversations to profile you for anyone else.

How Sahaj uses AI

Sahaj is an AI guide. Your chart is calculated by established astrology services, and an AI model explains what the calculation shows. Sahaj never presents itself as a person.

  • No training on your data. We do not use your messages, voice notes, birth details or readings to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s. That includes information we receive through WhatsApp.
  • No decisions about you. Sahaj does not use your data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, such as decisions about credit, employment or insurance.
  • Mistakes are possible. AI explanations can be wrong. You can send explain why to see the reasoning behind a reading, and correct my birth details if something was captured incorrectly.

Consent, separately for each thing

Consent is asked for separately, and each one can be withdrawn on its own:

  • using Sahaj at all, which means processing what you send in order to answer;
  • voice and media, if you want to send or receive voice notes, images or video;
  • occasional updates by email or WhatsApp, which is never assumed from the fact that you use Sahaj.

Withdrawing consent stops the processing from then on; it does not undo what already happened. Send stop at any time and Sahaj stops messaging you.

Who helps us run Sahaj

We use a small number of service providers, each for its own part of the service and only for that:

  • Meta (WhatsApp) carries messages between you and Sahaj. WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy also apply to your WhatsApp account.
  • Amazon Web Services hosts the service, stores media such as charts, audio and video, and sends sign-in codes by email (Amazon SES).
  • MongoDB Atlas stores your profile, conversation and readings.
  • Google provides the AI models that explain your chart and can transcribe voice notes (Vertex AI), looks up the place you were born (Google Maps Platform), and signs you in if you choose Google sign-in.
  • Prokerala and AstrologyAPI calculate planetary positions from your birth details.
  • Sarvam AI, Deepgram and ElevenLabs turn voice notes into text and readings into audio.
  • Sentry tells us when something breaks. It is not used to profile you.
  • PostHog, when we switch it on, receives a short list of product events, such as whether a reading video was delivered, under a scrambled identifier. It never receives your messages, your number or your birth details.
  • Vercel hosts this website.
  • Razorpay will process payments once paid plans are offered.

We send each provider only what its part needs, under contracts that limit what it can do with the data. Some of these providers process data outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we transfer data abroad, we do so only to countries the Government of India has not restricted. This list changes as the service does, and this page is updated when it does.

How long we keep it

  • Your profile, birth details and readings: while your account exists, so you can ask for a past reading without repeating yourself, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Voice notes you send: deleted once they have been transcribed. If transcription fails, they are kept only briefly so the problem can be fixed.
  • Messages: kept encrypted, and only as long as they are needed to continue the conversation and to help you when you contact support.
  • Sign-in codes: they expire within minutes and cannot be reused.
  • Delivery logs and technical records: kept only as long as they are useful for diagnosing problems and keeping the service secure.
  • Payment and tax records: kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, even after the rest of your data is deleted.

When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it, and we do not keep a shadow copy to work around that.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and wherever else the law gives you these rights, you can:

  • get a summary of the data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • correct, complete or update it;
  • have it erased;
  • withdraw any consent you gave;
  • nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to;
  • raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer and, if you are not satisfied with the response, with the Data Protection Board of India.

We do not charge for any of these, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

Your controls

Send any of these to Sahaj and it will act on them:

  • correct my birth details: fix what was captured;
  • export my data: receive a copy of what we hold;
  • delete my data: remove your profile and readings;
  • stop: pause messages from Sahaj, keeping your profile until you ask to delete it;
  • explain why: see the reasoning behind a reading;
  • talk to support: reach a person at Sahaj.

You can also exercise any of your rights by writing to getsahaj.support@gmail.com.

Deleting your data

To delete what Sahaj holds about you, send delete my data to Sahaj, or write to getsahaj.support@gmail.com with the WhatsApp number or email address the request is about. The data deletion page sets out exactly what is removed and how long it takes.

We aim to complete a deletion within 30 days. Payment and tax records that the law requires us to keep are the only exception, and they are kept for that purpose alone.

How it is protected

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Sensitive fields are encrypted at the application boundary with managed keys, so they are not readable directly from the database. Access by our team is limited, logged, and only for support and safety. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Cookies and this website

getsahaj.com does not use advertising cookies and does not currently load analytics. It remembers your language choice, and whether you have already seen the opening animation, in your own browser’s storage; that information is not sent to us. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

The Sahaj web app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in securely. It does not use advertising cookies. If any of this changes, this page will say so first.

Children

Sahaj is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe someone under 18 has used Sahaj, write to us and we will delete their data.

Grievance Officer

For a concern about your data or about Sahaj, contact our Grievance Officer:

  • Grievance Officer, Tournahub Solutions Private Limited
  • Email: getsahaj.support@gmail.com
  • Address: S. No. 501, Onkar Nagar, Pawar Mala, Kedgaon, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra 414001, India

We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and respond within one month.

Changes

If this page changes materially, we will say so on this page and, where it matters, in the conversation itself, before the change takes effect.
