Data deletion
How to delete everything Sahaj holds about you, from WhatsApp or the web app, what is removed, and how long it takes.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
You can ask us to delete your Sahaj data at any time, without giving a reason, and it costs nothing.
How to ask
On WhatsApp or in the web app
Send delete my data to Sahaj. Sahaj deletes your data and tells you when it is done.
By email
Write to getsahaj.support@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my data”. Include the WhatsApp number or the email address your Sahaj account uses. To protect you from someone deleting your data in your name, we may ask you to confirm the request from that number or email address.
What we delete
- your profile, preferred name, language and settings;
- your birth date, birth time and birth place;
- your conversation, messages and any voice notes we still hold;
- photos or PDFs of charts you sent;
- your readings, charts, audio and video;
- the link between your WhatsApp number and your web account, and your sign-in details.
What we keep, and why
- Payment and tax records, once paid plans exist, for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. They are kept for that purpose alone.
- A record that a deletion was carried out, without the deleted content, so we can show we honoured your request.
If any of your data is in an encrypted backup, it is removed when that backup expires, and we never restore a backup to bring deleted data back.
How long it takes
We aim to complete a deletion within 30 days of your request, and usually much sooner. We will tell you when it is done.
What deletion does not do
Deleting your Sahaj data does not delete your WhatsApp account or Google account, or the messages stored on your own phone. To clear the chat from your phone, use WhatsApp’s own options. If you message Sahaj again after a deletion, it starts afresh, as if you were new.
Questions
If you have a question about deletion or think a request was not handled properly, write to our Grievance Officer at getsahaj.support@gmail.com. The privacy policy explains the rest of your rights.
